Improvement 32: Celebrate our young successes
A group of young people who meet with Your Homes Newcastle every month to give their comments on services developed an idea that they believe will help people across the city.
They felt that the way young people are portrayed is often quite negative and this can lead to fear and create a divide between young people and older people.
Their idea for breaking down this divide was to have an award scheme for young people aged 14 to 25 who have made a difference to their community. The project would highlight the good work that young people are doing and provide positive publicity about young people.
